NFL quarterbacks C.J. Stroud and Bryce Young are set to appear as special guests at “Dena Day: Pass It Forward,” a free community event for families recovering from the 2025 Los Angeles wildfires, on Saturday, July 18, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Jackie Robinson Memorial Field in Brookside Park, according to an event press release.
The two quarterbacks anchor an event tied to their own philanthropy. It is hosted by the YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles in partnership with the C.J. Stroud Foundation and the Young 9 Foundation, the mental-health nonprofit founded by Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young, the release said.
The event, at Lot I, 678 N. Arroyo Blvd., pairs the players’ appearance with material aid for wildfire survivors. Alongside the guests, organizers will hold a ceremony honoring local fire department personnel and community members who responded during the wildfires.
Attendees will find food trucks, shelf-stable food, fresh fruits and vegetables, inflatables, games, face painting and family activities, according to organizers. Families will also receive backpacks and essential items. The YMCA said it is offering free Y memberships through the end of 2026 to fire-impacted survivors. Sponsors include Lowe’s and Trader Joe’s.
