The Second Saturday Sketching program begins July 12 and runs from 3 to 5 p.m. on the second Saturday of summer months. The drop-in format allows participants to visit the museum’s Main Entrance Gallery, collect art supplies and follow guided prompts that explore themes, genres and styles represented in the museum’s collections.
The program encourages visitors to create their own sketches inspired by the artworks around them. After the sketching session, participants can gather in the lower-level courtyard to share their creations with fellow artists – while enjoying refreshments available for purchase at the museum’s café.
The series is free with museum admission and welcomes visitors of all ages. All art materials are provided, and no advance reservations are required.
