The USC Pacific Asia Museum may still be under lockdown, but you don’t need to cross the threshold to savor its online shop, expanded this month. The new and improved Shop@PAM is stocked with exclusive products inspired by the museum’s collection, fabulous finds from local designers and foreign fair trade artisans and a diverse selection of children’s books and cookbooks. USC Bookstores offer safe shopping with free FedEx shipping, curbside pickup and shopping by appointment.

If you’re on a credit-card diet, we sympathize, but do consider that all purchases help support the Pasadena museum.

Honor thy Grandparents

This silk honor handkerchief ($38) designed by Pasadena artist Angela Yi is emblazoned with a Chinese word for “honor” in her grandfather’s calligraphy. A goal that couldn’t be more timely. The scarf measures 13.5 inches-by-13.5 inches.

Bewitching Baubles

A stretchy indigo bauble bracelet ($15) makes a statement with wooden beads wrapped in recycled fabrics colored indigo, black or white. They were strung together by women artisans in India.

Marvelous Minds

This modern mini pebble vase ($18) is only one of many mini ceramics PAM offers from around the world so you can design your own arrangement. Handcrafted by Thai artisans, the ceramic vase measures 2.8 inches-by-2 inches.

Mahatma and Me

Author Arun Gandhi shares lessons he learned from his legendary grandfather, Mahatma, in a book he co-wrote for children ages 4 to 8. Be the Change: Grandfather Gandhi (Simon & Shuster; $18.99) follows a young Arun learning how wastefulness affects others. Co-written by Bethany Hegedus and illustrated by Evan Turk.

DIY Filipino Feasts

The Philippines is known for fresh food prepared in diverse ways, influenced by the country’s history, incorporating flavor profiles from Malaysia, Spain, Mexico, China and the U.S. In 7,000 Islands: Cherished Recipes and Stories from the Philippines (Chronicle Books; $24.99), author Yasmin Newman guides you through that history while providing a banquet of recipes for dipping sauces, party food, barbecue, desserts and much more.
