The Ohio State Alumni Club of Los Angeles (OSULA) will hold its annual kickoff luncheon at the Rose Bowl Stadium on Saturday, Aug. 17, following the unveiling of a statue honoring Archie Griffin.
The statue unveiling is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., followed by the luncheon from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. in the Rose Bowl Locker Room. The unveiling is free and does not require an RSVP, while the luncheon requires advanced paid registration. The luncheon offers food, non-alcoholic drinks, and a cash bar.
Attendees can participate in auctions for Ohio State football tickets for all home games and memorabilia. The event will also introduce the 2024-2025 OSULA Board and feature a speech by Dedan Brozino, president of the Rose Bowl Legacy Foundation and chair of Rose Bowl Stadium.
An optional Rose Bowl tour is available as an add-on following the luncheon, beginning at 2:30 p.m. for an additional $15. Proceeds from the event will benefit OSULA, including fundraising for a scholarship awarded to a Southern California student attending The Ohio State University.
Tickets for the luncheon start at $55.20, with registration closing on Aug. 3. To get tickets, click this Eventbrite link.
