Open-to-the-Public Rotary Meeting Will Raise Awareness to Fight Human Trafficking

Published on Mar 15, 2022

Dave Maggard, Executive Director of Slave 2 Nothing Foundation, a public charity organization based in Irvine, will be guest speaker on Wednesday, March 16, during the Pasadena Rotary Club’s weekly meeting at the University Club of Pasadena. He will speak on the topic of Human Trafficking Outreach and Investigations.

The meeting is open to the public and will be broadcast on Zoom as well.

The Slave 2 Nothing Foundation was established in 2016 to help improve the lives of individuals and families affected by substance abuse and/or human trafficking. The foundation is supported primarily through donor contributions and internal fundraising activities sponsored by In-N-Out Burger.

In-N-Out Burger pays all costs associated with Slave 2 Nothing, so that all funds raised goes directly to eliminate human trafficking and help individuals and families gain freedom and healing from substance abuse.

As Executive Director, Maggard leads a team of philanthropic professionals responsible for supporting non-profits involved in battling substance abuse and human trafficking in the seven states served by In-N-Out Burger. Before becoming Executive Director, Maggard served for several decades as a public safety executive and community leader.

Maggard has a Doctorate of Education with an emphasis on organizational leadership and has been involved in helping communities become stronger, better and safer places to live.

Attendance at the in-person event is by RSVP only. The Board of Directors of the Rotary Club of Pasadena follows guidance from the Pasadena Public Health Department.
