Armenian-American author Taleen Voskuni will discuss and sign her latest novel at Vroman’s Bookstore on Thursday, January 22 at 7 p.m. “Our Ex’s Wedding,” published January 20, is a romantic comedy following Ani Avakian, a Bay Area Armenian wedding planner who takes on a high-profile wedding at an Armenian-owned winery. Complications arise when she discovers the bride is Kami, her ex-girlfriend from two years ago. Both Ani and the winery owner, Raffi Garabedian, share Kami as their mutual ex, creating what Kirkus Reviews describes as “the record level of awkwardness.”

The novel represents Voskuni’s third romantic comedy. Her debut, “Sorry, Bro,” earned starred reviews from Kirkus Reviews and Booklist, received favorable coverage in The New York Times, and won the 2023 Golden Poppy Award for best romance. Kirkus Reviews calls “Our Ex’s Wedding” “raucous and riveting” and “Voskuni’s best yet,” returning “to the same winning blend of humor, romance, and culture that made her debut.”

The event moderator is multimedia journalist Nona Melkonian, Voskuni’s middle school friend and founder of Melkoni Media. Voskuni, who holds a BA in English from UC Berkeley and works in tech in San Francisco, comes from a multicultural background. Her maternal grandfather was a journalist and newspaper editor.

“Taleen Voskuni, in conversation with Nona Melkonian, discusses & signs Our Ex’s Wedding” will run on Thursday, January 22 at 7:00 p.m. Vroman’s Bookstore, 695 E. Colorado Blvd., Pasadena, CA 91101-2116. For more information, call (626) 449-5320 or visit https://vromansbookstore.com/event/2026-01-22/taleen-voskuni.
