After a November rain-out cancelled its planned second outing, the Pasadena Armenian Festival returns to Victory Park on Saturday, May 30, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. — free, family-oriented and aimed at introducing the broader San Gabriel Valley to a community that has called Pasadena home since the 1890s.
The festival is organized by the Pasadena Armenian Festival Coalition, a 30-member group made up of every Armenian nonprofit organization within the city — religious, youth, educational, cultural, political and philanthropic — that has been working in Pasadena and the greater San Gabriel Valley for decades. The inaugural festival in 2024 drew between 3,000 and 5,000 attendees; this year’s edition has been a long time coming for organizers and attendees alike.
The day’s program features traditional Armenian food trucks, cultural exhibits, artisan vendor booths and performances by students from several Armenian schools, choirs, dance academies, karate schools and music institutes. Natalie Tavidian serves as master of ceremonies. A dedicated children’s play area is included, making the festival genuinely all-ages.
Pasadena residents are encouraged to carpool, rideshare or take the Metro A Line to the Memorial Park station. Festival parking is available at Victory Park, at the Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU) at 2495 E. Mountain St. and at Norma Coombs School at 2600 Paloma St.
