Interior designers looking for the right finish, the right fixture or the right fabric can usually find them in a showroom or a catalog. Once a year, the Pasadena chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers brings those options under one roof.

The chapter’s annual Industry Partner Expo is scheduled for March 18 at the Pasadena Elks Lodge, 400 W. Colorado Blvd., according to the chapter’s newsletter. The free event pairs designers with trade vendors showcasing products that range from finishes and fixtures to textiles and technology. Registration is required.

The expo functions as a marketplace. Industry partners — the manufacturers, suppliers and representatives who sell to the design trade — set up displays. Designers walk the floor, examine materials and build relationships with vendors they may hire for upcoming projects.

The Pasadena chapter is composed primarily of residential interior designers, according to the chapter’s website, though some members work in commercial and hospitality design. The chapter describes the expo as an annual general membership meeting hosted by industry partners, featuring displays of their combined products and services.

ASID, founded nationally in 1975, has more than 19,500 members across 48 chapters in the United States and Canada, according to the organization. The Pasadena chapter is based at 530 S. Lake Ave., Suite 636.

Admission is free. Vendors interested in exhibiting may contact verzine.hovasapyan@bestbuy.com, according to the newsletter. For general information, contact the ASID Pasadena Chapter at 626-795-6898 or administrator@capas.asid.org.
