The Pasadena Farmers Market is all about having a clean and safe environment for your Saturday produce shopping. In a recently posted Facebook video (shown below), Assistant Manager Celena Groman walked viewers through the opening process, before the market opened its gates to the public.

As Groman pointed out in her walk-through, vendors are checked for face masks and gloves, as well as hand washing stations. Social distancing markings are also checked, along with signage. Then, staff masks up, and the shopping begins.

Groman also noted the market’s dedicated entrances and exits as well, as she walked through the marketplace, keeping an eye open for any forgetful vendors without gloves and masks.

“I am the enforcer,” she joked, “and I don’t mind being the enforcer. It keeps everyone safe and everyone profitable.”

She worries, so you don’t have to.

The Farmers’ Market Saturday hours are 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The Victory Park Farmers market is in the 2900 block of North Sierra Madre Boulevard, at the intersection of Sierra Madre Blvd and Paloma Street (in front of Pasadena High School). Take the San Gabriel off ramp of 210 Freeway. At the end of the off ramp, turn north on Sierra Madre Blvd (towards mountains) and proceed 1/2 mile to the market.

The Pasadena Farmers’ Market at Villa Parke Center is Open Tuesdays, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at 363 East Villa Street.
