Pasadena Humane’s biggest annual fundraiser, Wiggle Waggle Walk Your Block, goes virtual on Sunday, Sept. 27, allowing participants to join in the fun by walking (or running) with their pets anywhere, for as long or short as they like while sharing photos online.
People can walk with or without their dog as well and still continue to support Pasadena Humane – or they can show their pets love by being part of the virtual event. While walking virtually, check out the virtual vendor fair, participate in the photo contest, and just have some fun with pets.
“Feel free to walk on your block, head out to an open park or hiking trail, or get creative and walk on a treadmill or in your backyard. Just make sure to have fun and stay safe,” Pasadena Humane urged.
The online photo contest is an exciting part of this year’s virtual fundraiser, and it’s now open for entries. All one needs to do is start snapping photos of their adorable furry pet or pets and submit them for judging by fellow animal lovers. To help, each photo entry should be accompanied by a $10 donation, and vote donations are $1 each, with a minimum donation of $5 or five votes.
Join the Photo Contest for a chance to win prizes in any of the categories – Top Dog, Top Cat, Top Critter, and Best Group Photo – for a gift bag of Pasadena Humane goodies, pet treats, and toys from the Shelter Shop; one free doughnut at Great Maple; a Comfort Pet Cooling Pad donated by K9 Loft; the chance to appear in a Pasadena Humane e-newsletter; and entry into the judging for the Grand Prize winner.
The Grand Prize winner will receive a $240 gift card from Pet Food Express, a Furbo Pet Cam donated by Merck, a K&H Thermo-Cushion Pet Bed donated by K9 Loft, and a portrait session with a pet by PhotoKronology.
Ask friends and family to vote for your photo. Every vote means another dollar to help animals in need.

Wiggle Waggle Walk Your Block is an all-day fundraiser. Registration to walk starts at $35. All supporters will be given a Pasadena Humane bandana, and those who raise $50 or more will receive an exclusive 2020 Wiggle Waggle Walk t-shirt. These items will be available to pick-up on Saturday, September 26, from 12 to 3 p.m.
For helping to raise funds, one may also earn a Heart of Gold plaque at the animal shelter, a tile on the Wiggle Waggle Walk of Fame, an invitation to the PHS “Our Heroes” Circle Reception, and many more treats. Also compete to be the Top Donor, Top Fundraiser or Top Fundraising Team.
