The Pasadena Public Library will present a professional juggling and comedy performance by television entertainer Michael Rayner on Thursday, July 3, from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Santa Catalina Branch Library.

The free event is part of the library’s 2025 Summer Reading Program “Level Up at Your Library” and is sponsored by The Friends of the Pasadena Public Library.

Rayner, 62, has appeared on major television shows including “America’s Got Talent,” “The Late Late Show with James Corden,” “The David Letterman Show,” “Sesame Street” and “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”

His performance style has been described as “preposterous brilliance” and “whacky jugglement,” combining comedic tricks with stand-up comedy. His signature act involves spinning a Burger King cheeseburger on a parasol.

Other signature tricks include balancing a wheelbarrow on his chin, shoes on his nose and a cymbal on his chin.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Rayner gained over 100 million views across TikTok and Instagram platforms. He has also worked as a television writer for E! Entertainment Television, The Game Show Network and Nickelodeon.

The Santa Catalina Branch Library is located at 999 E. Washington Blvd. in Pasadena. The library operates Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and is closed Sundays. More information is available by calling (626) 744-7272.

The Summer Reading Program runs from June 14 through August 2. The Santa Catalina Branch, established in 1913, is one of Pasadena’s oldest libraries and houses the system’s Armenian language collection.
