The Pasadena Public Library is continuing its commitment to accessible and inclusive programming with a free “All Abilities Crafts” event on Tuesday, December 16 at 11 a.m. Sponsored by the library, this event will allow participants to create holiday ornaments and cards and is part of the library’s “All Abilities” series offered in 2025.

These programs are described as “fun and relaxed morning activities” where “adults and teens of all abilities are welcome, along with caregivers and coaches,” according to a Pasadena Public Library Calendar description.

The “All Abilities” series is part of a broader set of initiatives focused on accessibility and inclusion. Tim McDonald, Director of Libraries and Information Services, points out the significance of the ACT-MOVE-FLOW program as one of several initiatives focused on accessibility and inclusion. The ACT-MOVE-FLOW program, facilitated by Jafar Lawrence Woods and Ricki Worth of LA Musica Therapy, combines music therapy, movement and improvisational acting to help participants develop self-awareness and social connections.

Miguel Márquez, who served as City Manager through late 2025, noted that McDonald “has a clear vision of public libraries as essential hubs of information and community activity, especially neighborhood libraries located within one mile of every Pasadena resident.”

Previous “All Abilities” events in 2025 included “All Abilities Art” sessions on July 15 and August 19 at the La Pintoresca Branch Library. Participants should contact the library in advance to request accommodations.

All Abilities Crafts will run on Tuesday, December 16 at 11 a.m. at La Pintoresca Branch Library, 1355 N. Raymond Ave., Pasadena. For more information, call (626) 744-7268 or visit https://www.cityofpasadena.net/library/?trumbaEmbed=view%3Devent%26eventid%3D191381061.
