The teen services librarian coordinates programming for adolescent patrons at Jefferson Branch, which serves as “the library system’s hub for youth services.”
The 9,400-square-foot branch opened in 2022 as a temporary facility designed to operate for five years while the city’s Central Library undergoes a $195 million seismic retrofit project.
Recent teen programming at Pasadena library branches has included a K-Pop Demon Hunters singalong at Hastings Branch in September, which encouraged participants ages 12 and older to attend in costume and bring light sticks for “the high-energy celebration.”
