The Jefferson Branch Library in Pasadena will host an “Inclusive Sensory Art & Craftmaking — Spring Jamboree” for children of all abilities on Saturday, March 15, the Pasadena Public Library said in a recent announcement.
The hour-long program, scheduled from 11 a.m. to noon, is designed for children ages 3 to 10 and will feature various sensory exploration stations throughout the library space.
“We’ll have paints, bubble wrap, and other art materials on hand for exploration,” the library announcement said, detailing the creative opportunities available to participating children during the spring-themed event. “Stations with bins full of water beads and space sand plus ingredients to make spring slime round out the fun for sensory seekers!”
The library explicitly welcomes children with disabilities and their families to participate in the inclusive program, emphasizing the accessibility of the spring jamboree to the entire community.
Registration is required for the event, and interested families can sign up through the library’s online calendar system.
