The Pasadena Literary Alliance will present an evening conversation featuring acclaimed novelists Michelle Huneven and Claire Lombardo on Tuesday, June 17 at the Doheny Eye Institute in Pasadena. The event will create a platform for discussing profound literary themes while celebrating women’s contributions to the literary arts.
“Don’t miss this chance to embrace the poignant themes that resonate deeply within us all—secure your spot for this extraordinary evening and support the invaluable contributions of women in the literary arts!” the Alliance.
The program will begin with a reception at 6:30 p.m., followed by the main conversation at 7:30 p.m.
Authors Huneven, known for her novel Bug Hollow, and Lombardo, author of Same as it Ever Was, will explore themes of love and loss, secrets and heartbreak, and what organizers describe as “the intricate myths and mistakes that shape our most cherished relationships—especially those with the mothers who guide us.”
The evening will feature a pre-hosted happy hour designed to allow attendees to connect with fellow literature enthusiasts in what organizers promise will be “a cozy and welcoming environment.”
The program will conclude with a Q&A session and book signing.
“The dynamic conversation between these two literary luminaries is sure to captivate and inspire you, and we warmly encourage you to engage during the Q&A and book signing, as we collectively weave the narrative of our community,” the Alliance said.
The event is part of the Pasadena Literary Alliance’s “Open Book” series, which organizers describe with the tagline “It’s not just an event. It’s an experience.” The program receives sponsorship from The Crush Pad and Jones Coffee Roasters.
