The Pasadena Museum of History will waive admission fees Dec. 7 for a Holiday Open House featuring tours of a century-old mansion.

The free event runs from noon to 5 p.m. at 470 W. Walnut Street.

Visitors can tour the 1906 Fényes Mansion, decorated in Edwardian-era holiday style. The museum will also open its Finnish Folk Art Museum.

Art 2 Go will lead craft workshops. Participants can make snow people using socks, markers and buttons.

The museum will showcase two exhibitions during the open house. “Cha-Rie Tang: 48 Years of Artistic Innovation in Pasadena” highlights the local artist’s work.

A second exhibition, “STORIES, TRADITIONS & DESIGNS: Spotlighting the African American Quilters of Los Angeles,” explores quilting traditions.

The Museum Store will offer holiday shopping options. Items include ceramics, jewelry, photography and textiles by regional artists.

Books for children and adults will be available. The store also carries locally produced gourmet products.

All activities are open to visitors of all ages.
