Pasadena Playhouse, a venerable institution in the Southern California theater scene, has opened ticket sales for its upcoming productions of “Cyrano de Bergerac” and “La Cage aux Folles.” These shows are part of the theater’s 2024-2025 season, which coincides with its centennial celebrations.
“Cyrano de Bergerac,” a radical adaptation of Edmond Rostand’s classic play by Martin Crimp, is scheduled to run from Sept. 4 to Sept. 29. The production promises a poetic and romantic experience for theatergoers, aligning with the playhouse’s milestone anniversary.
Following “Cyrano,” the Tony Award-winning musical “La Cage aux Folles” will take the stage from Nov. 12 to Dec. 15. With a book by Harvey Fierstein and music and lyrics by Jerry Herman, the show is billed as a joyous celebration of drag and family.
Tickets for both productions are now available through Pasadena Playhouse’s official website, pasadenaplayhouse.org. The theater has introduced a new Digital Ticket experience, including a Digital Ticket Wallet, allowing patrons to receive, manage, and easily share their tickets electronically.
For “La Cage aux Folles,” ticket prices start at $44. The playhouse is offering the same digital ticketing option for this production as for “Cyrano de Bergerac.”
Theater enthusiasts looking for enhanced access to the Playhouse’s season can explore membership packages. These offer benefits such as early ticket access, waived handling fees, free exchanges, discounted guest tickets, and free access to behind-the-scenes and exclusive events.
The Classic Membership Package includes tickets to both “Cyrano de Bergerac” and “La Cage aux Folles,” as well as “Topdog/Underdog” and an unannounced new play. Members sit in the same seat on their preferred night of the week for all productions.
Members also receive access to a special concert event at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium, choosing between “Anything Goes in Concert” or “Follies in Concert.” They can book up to four additional tickets for either concert at the member discount price.

The Pasadena Playhouse’s 2024-2025 season will also feature “Topdog/Underdog” and a yet-to-be-announced new play.
