Pasadena Playhouse is solving problems and is thrilled to announce a new Pay What You Can ticket initiative for the hit comedy ha ha ha ha ha ha ha by internationally acclaimed performer Julia Masli. Celebrated by audiences and critics—including the Los Angeles Times—the show has become one of the most talked-about theatrical events of the season for its joyful, unpredictable, and deeply human approach to our “problems.”
During the October 15 performance, a patron mentioned that affordability in theater was a “problem” worth solving—a perfect echo of the show’s playful premise. In the spirit of ha ha ha ha ha ha ha and its commitment to connection and creative problem-solving, Pasadena Playhouse sprang into action, launching a Pay What You Can ticket program to make the experience more accessible to the community. Beginning immediately, 10 tickets per performance will be available at a flexible price, allowing more people to share in the laughter, humanity, and joy that have made the show a sensation.
As ha ha ha ha ha ha ha continues to delight audiences night after night, the Playhouse invites everyone to join the fun before the show’s final curtain on November 9. These limited Pay What You Can tickets offer a chance to experience the show audiences can’t stop talking about—because sometimes, solving a problem can start with simply opening the doors a little wider.
All Julia Masli wants to do is solve people’s problems and win the Nobel Peace Prize, but the plan keeps going wrong as she continually wins prizes for comedy. In her wildly unpredictable solo show ha ha ha ha ha ha ha, the award-winning performer turns the audience’s problems into surreal, side-splitting theater. No script, no safety net, just one woman on a mission to help.
After sensational runs in Edinburgh, Melbourne, New York, and D.C., Julia has come to Pasadena to solve all our problems. A Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company Touring Production.

BIOGRAPHIES FOR ha ha ha ha ha ha ha:
JULIA MASLI (she/her) is an award-winning clown from Estonia, based in London. All she wants to do is solve people’s problems and eventually win the Nobel Prize, presented to those who have conferred the greatest benefit to humankind. But this plan keeps going wrong as she continually wins prizes for comedy. It was bad enough when she was the winner of the Malcolm Hardee Award for Comic Originality in 2019 and her debut show ‘CHOOSH’ – about a migrant’s struggles in the USA – was one of the most acclaimed comedy shows of the Edinburgh Fringe in 2022. But in 2023, things spiraled when she set out to help audience members in ‘ha ha ha ha ha ha ha’, which you can read about in The New York Times here. This serious, important event was nominated for Edinburgh’s top prize for Best Comedy Show and named number one comedy show of the year by the ‘Guardian’, before being invited for a four-week, completely sold-out run at London’s Soho Theatre. Despite the seriousness of Julia’s intentions, the show was once more shortlisted for Most Outstanding Show at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival after another total sellout season, nominated for Edinburgh’s top prize of Best Comedy Show and the SKY Arts Best Comedy Award, nominated for two Helen Hayes Awards for Outstanding Performer and Outstanding Production after a sold-out run at Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company, and declared number one comedy show of the year by The Guardian. She and her leg are currently on tour.
KIM NOBLE (he/him) was a critically acclaimed artist and performer from London. He used to be quite good at stuff like theatre. He got an award. And he does some directing. The New York Times described him as “Annoying.” He is re-writing a book and recently had to move back into his mum’s flat due to financial difficulties. www.mrkimnoble.com
