Following a hiatus brought on by the pandemic, the Pasadena Police Department is planning to once again meet with the community during a National Night Out event next month.

The event is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Aug. 3 at Villa Parke, 363 E. Villa Street, according to the agency.

“The annual event highlights our community’s commitment to crime prevention and our dedication to promoting a higher quality of life to all our residents,” police said in a written statement.

In addition to an opportunity to meet with local first responders and city officials, information booths, free food, games, activities, free bike registration and giveaways are also planned, organizers said.

The event is being sponsored by the Pasadena Federal Credit Union.
