Centennial Square at Pasadena City Hall will come alive with music, color and celebration on Saturday, June 21, as the City of Pasadena hosts its fourth annual Love, Loud & Proud! Pride Month Celebration. The event, which runs from 6 to 9 p.m., is free and open to all ages, offering a welcoming space for families, residents and visitors to gather in recognition of LGBTQIA+ pride. It is organized by the city’s Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department.
Attendees can look forward to music by LA’s DJ Keelez and special performances by local drag artists. Interactive elements include arts and crafts, inflatables, a photo opportunity area curated by Girl Squad Media, and dance contests. In partnership with the Armory Center for the Arts, the event will also feature a community art-making activity led by teaching artist Austyn De Lugo-Liston, open to participants of all ages.
Public health services will be provided on-site. The Pasadena Public Health Department will offer hepatitis A and flu vaccinations and health education. In addition, the California Department of Public Health will administer mpox vaccines and conduct STI screenings as part of broader outreach efforts.
The event is sponsored by the Pasadena Management Association, Girl Squad Media, The Boulevard, Fat Boys and All Saints Church–Pasadena. Food from local food trucks will be available for purchase.
Vendor registration for community partners and organizations closed on June 8 via a dedicated portal. This detail reflects the event’s efforts to include broad civic engagement and planning.
