The concert series, titled “Encantador: Sounds of South America,” is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 26, at 5 p.m. (a new time) and Sunday, Oct. 27, at 4 p.m. Both performances will take place at the Neighborhood Unitarian Universalist Church, located at 301 N. Orange Grove Blvd, Pasadena 91103.
The program promises a wide-ranging selection of South American music, including folk tunes from Venezuela, mid-century Brazilian jazz, and “Misa Criolla,” a legendary folk mass by Argentine composer Ariel Ramírez.
“We are excited to offer TWO performances,” the organization stated in its announcement, highlighting the new format for the season.
A reception will follow Sunday’s performance only, providing attendees an opportunity to mingle after the show.
Single tickets are priced at $25, with free admission for children 12 and under. Tickets can be purchased online at pasadenapromusica.org, and concertgoers are advised to bring proof of purchase as there will be no will-call list at the door.
Parking is available in the church lot, on Orange Grove Boulevard, or on Walnut Street. The organization cautions, “Please do not park on Arroyo Terrace, the small street that runs alongside the church.”
For the most current information about the concert series, Pasadena Pro Musica recommends checking their website periodically for updates.
“We look forward to seeing you at our concert!” the organization added.
