See the Pasadena Showcase House Empty at the Empty House Party + Premiere on Friday Night

Published on Jan 18, 2023

The Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts on Friday night presents an opportunity to see Stewart House and meet the talented designers who will share their inspiration before it is transformed into the 2023 Pasadena Showcase House of Design.

The Stewart House is a 1933 grand colonial estate with spectacular acreage in a storied neighborhood of Pasadena. Designed by Marston and Maybury, one of Pasadena’s most celebrated architectural partnerships, Stewart House takes us back to the days of gracious architecture and quintessential Showcase with over 11,000 square feet of living space sited on two acres of carefully landscaped and exquisitely manicured grounds.

Featured in 1983 as the 19th Pasadena Showcase House of Design, the Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts is revisiting the property, which the same family has stewarded for nearly 40 years, to reintroduce this majestic estate to a new generation.

Situated on park-like grounds, the estate leaves a striking first impression with an expansive verdant lawn, circular driveway, and iconic portico.

The impressive interior spaces include many bedrooms and bathrooms, as well as entertaining spaces for any occasion with a bright sunroom, gallery bar, open kitchen, and warm paneled library.

Complementing the main residence, the estate features a large guest house with recreation/media room, four-car garage, pool and cabana, and an enclosed tennis court. The grounds showcase a variety of sculptures, as well as themed gardens including an Asian garden, vegetable garden, rose garden, a children’s play garden, and a café terrace.

This exquisite Showcase House will surprise and delight with the latest lifestyle trends highlighted by the 32 talented interior and exterior designers.
