Founded in 1925 by a group led by Benjamin Brown, the “dean of Pasadena painters,” the Pasadena Society of Artists is one of the area’s original professional artist groups. The Society is noted for its vigorous, active membership, wide diversity of artistic statement, and high professional standards. Membership is by juried submission.
McGinty’s Gallery has a long history of supporting local artists, starting from the Underground Arts Society, a community-based art salon that opened in June of 2002 and ran through 2010, to its current format as a community gallery.
