The City of Pasadena is set to host its biannual ArtNight on Friday, March 14, 2025, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., offering free admission to 19 world-class arts and cultural venues throughout the city. The event, which won the Pasadena Weekly’s 2024 “Best Annual Event” award, aims to celebrate the city’s vibrant arts scene and make cultural experiences accessible to all residents and visitors.
“Experience FREE admission to 19 world-class arts and cultural institutions throughout the city,” the City of Pasadena announced, highlighting the event’s commitment to public engagement with the arts.
ArtNight Pasadena will feature a diverse range of offerings, including art exhibitions, live music performances, theater productions, and interactive workshops. Notable participants include the Norton Simon Museum, USC Pacific Asia Museum, Armory Center for the Arts, and The Gamble House.
The Pasadena Museum of History will showcase “100 Years—100 Images,” celebrating the centennial of the Pasadena Society of Artists. At the Gamble House, visitors can enjoy live performances by Lineage Performing Arts, exploring the intersection of sound and architecture.
Kidspace Children’s Museum will present “Wired for Wonder: A Multisensory Maze,” an immersive exhibit designed to engage young visitors. The museum will also offer a community art project and a preview of its popular Butterfly Season.
In recognition of recent wildfires that affected the region, several programs will focus on the healing power of the arts. The Parson’s Nose Theater will host the Ampola Players for “Beat Back the Night,” featuring storytelling and spoken word performances centered on themes of resistance and resolution.
The event is made possible in part by the City’s Arts and Culture Commission, which provides mini-grants to support smaller arts groups and individual artists. Free shuttles will be available to transport visitors between venues throughout the evening.
To ensure accessibility, each venue will offer Braille versions of the ArtNight brochure. Food trucks will be stationed at various locations, including City Hall, to provide refreshments for attendees.
