Tuesday Musicale of Pasadena will present a remarkable public recital offering a rare opportunity for community members to experience a program bridging Pasadena’s local musical legacy and the global tradition of classical repertoire. This free concert underscores the organization’s ongoing role in democratizing access to high-caliber music, fostering public engagement through interactive experiences, and championing classical works in a nonprofit setting.

The concert will feature internationally recognized soloists performing selections by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, Charles Gounod, Benjamin Godard, Gabriel Fauré, Parsegh Ganachian, V. Srvantsdiants, Ludwig van Beethoven, and Bedřích Smetana. The setting reflects Tuesday Musicale’s innovative approach to programming, as its original venue, Pasadena Central Library, remains closed for seismic retrofitting. Concerts are thus hosted at alternate locations throughout the city, maintaining their commitment to serving local audiences.

Admission is free and open to the public. The event includes a pre-concert talk and interactive Q&A for attendees, aiming to deepen dialogue about music’s role in cultural identity and art in Pasadena’s historic spaces. The November 4 program exemplifies Tuesday Musicale’s historic role as a bridge between Pasadena’s musicians and the broader orchestral tradition—a narrative underscored by the group’s adaptability and mission to expand civic access to world-class performance.

Tuesday Musicale of Pasadena will run on Tuesday, Nov. 4 at 12:30 p.m. The First Church of Christ Scientist, 80 S. Oakland Ave., Pasadena. For more information, call (626) 398-8887 or visit https://tuesdaymusicaleca.org/. Ticket prices: Free admission.
