Here are the Pets of the Week available for adoption at the Pasadena Humane Society this week:
Larissa (A520644) is a striking one-year-old husky mix with a gentle soul and a curious nature. Larissa was a little unsure at the shelter, but she is already showing signs of settling into her foster home with grace. Her confidence has grown in leaps and bounds, and she has now settled in nicely.
This sweet girl is polite and friendly with people once she has a moment to observe and feel safe. She recently attended an adoption event where she greeted visitors with openness and tolerated the hustle and bustle of other dogs nearby quite well.
Larissa is still getting used to unexpected sounds or sudden movements, which can startle her, but she quickly adapts and finds her calm again. She’s curious about toys and has meticulously found her favorite stuffed animal.
Larissa is looking for a home that understands that may need a little time to feel fully secure. In return, you’ll get a loyal, intelligent companion who just wants a calm environment and someone to share belly rubs and quiet afternoons. The adoption fee for dogs is $150. All dog adoptions include spay or neuter, microchip, and age-appropriate vaccines.
