Big Poppa (l) and Caramela (r)

Here are the Pets of the Week available for adoption at the Pasadena Humane Society this week:

Big Poppa (A492083) is the friendliest guy! Found as a stray, he walked right up to a passer-by in his friendly manner to say hello, and that’s how he wound up with us. This eight-year-old pup is always excited to see people and just wants to snuggle with you. Although his name is accurate and he’s a “big” poppa, he doesn’t let this stop him from trying to be a lap dog. If an affectionate guy with a great smile is the type of friend you’re looking for, adopt Big Poppa today!

The adoption fee for dogs is $140. All dog adoptions include spay or neuter, microchip, and age-appropriate vaccines.

New adopters will receive a complimentary health-and-wellness exam from VCA Animal Hospitals, as well as a goody bag filled with information about how to care for your pet.

Pets may not be available for adoption and cannot be held for potential adopters by phone calls or email.

One-year-old Caramela (A491528) was found as a stray, injured, and in need of emergency surgery – but now she’s all healed up and eager to be adopted! Despite all she’s been through, Caramela is bright-eyed, alert, and friendly. Even when she was in a fashionable cone after her surgery, she still leaned into people’s hands for head rubs while making biscuits. In her foster home, Caramela revealed that she’s an excellent toy hunter. This well-rounded gal would be a wonderful addition to any home!

The adoption fee for cats is $90. All cat adoptions include spay or neuter, microchip, and age-appropriate vaccines.
