The Third@First Concert Series at First United Methodist Church will present the series’ founder and artistic director, pianist Junko Ueno Garrett, in a concert for solo piano on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at 4 p.m., using the church’s YouTube channel.
The program features two pieces by Robert Schumann, “Arabeske” and the Abegg Variations. Also included is Ferruccio Busoni’s transcription of J.S. Bach’s Chaconne in D minor. Japan-born Junko Ueno Garrett has captivated audiences around the world with her colorful tone, poetry, expressivity, dynamic technique, and wide range of repertoire.
