Huntington Medical Research Institutes (HMRI), in collaboration with Hillsides, will host an illuminating panel discussion titled “Fearless: Critical Conversations on Stress, Trauma, and Resilience” on Thursday, April 24 at 6:00 p.m. as part of HMRI’s forward-thinking President’s Event Series.

Moderated by Dr. Julia Bradsher, HMRI president and CEO, the panel will feature leading researchers and mental health professionals exploring how chronic stress and trauma impact the heart and brain across the human lifespan. Drawing from cutting-edge biomedical research, panelists will share innovative strategies for building resilience, moving individuals from survival mode to a thriving state of health and well-being.

The evening will spotlight HMRI scientists advancing new frontiers of heart-brain research, alongside mental health experts from Hillsides and local community leaders. “The people of Pasadena and Altadena have faced immense hardship in the wake of the Eaton Canyon Fires,” said Dr. Bradsher. “Through this event, we hope to empower our community with scientific knowledge and practical tools to heal and thrive.”

“We commend HMRI for coordinating this panel to bring awareness to the critical link between mental and physical health. As an organization devoted to trauma-informed care, Hillsides is grateful for the opportunity to engage with the community and contribute to the healing process,” said, Stacey Roth, CEO of Hillsides.

The event will take place at HMRI’s state-of-the-art research facility, located at 686 S. Fair Oaks Avenue, Pasadena, CA 91105. Admission is free and open to the public. Register now at hmri.org/events.
