Rain clouds gathering over Pasadena today won’t dampen the spirit of community resilience as “Ashes to Anthems: Hold Dena Benefit Concert & Resource Fair” brings together Grammy-winning musicians and essential services for families devastated by the Eaton Fires. The free event, running from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, April 26, transforms Memorial Park into a hub for both celebration and tangible support during the day-long gathering.

Organized by a coalition of community foundations with significant corporate backing, the benefit features an impressive lineup of acclaimed musicians donating their performances for the cause. Grammy Award winners Andra Day, LeCrae and Erica Campbell headline the event, which also includes performances by Travis Greene, D Smoke, Goapele, Sunwhoa, Aja Marie, Victory Bible Church Choir and Los Jornaleros Del Norte.

The Hold Dena Coalition, SoLa Foundation, Shared Harvest Foundation and the Legacy Land Project have partnered to present the event with major support from HealthNet, Thrivent and Habitat for Humanity. This collaboration demonstrates the extensive community investment in Altadena’s recovery process and historic preservation efforts following the destructive fires.

Beyond musical performances, a comprehensive mile-long Resource Fair will operate throughout the day, providing fire survivors with immediate access to crucial services addressing both short-term needs and long-term recovery. Free resources available on-site include housing support, financial assistance, health screenings, legal aid, children’s activities and mental health services for families still rebuilding their lives.

Event organizers characterize “Ashes to Anthems” as more than entertainment, describing it as “a call to action and a testament to the power of community” in official materials promoting the gathering. The daylong benefit seeks to raise funds while increasing awareness about ongoing needs in fire-affected neighborhoods throughout Altadena and surrounding areas.

Registration is required for the free event, allowing organizers to effectively coordinate resources and ensure appropriate support for all attendees. Interested participants are encouraged to register through the official website at www.ashestoanthems.com before arriving at Memorial Park, located at 85 E. Holly Street in Pasadena.

The “Ashes to Anthems” event reflects Pasadena’s collective determination to support neighbors in need while fostering community solidarity through shared musical experiences and practical assistance. As stated in promotional materials, the gathering serves as “a reminder that even in the wake of tragedy, hope and harmony can rise from the ashes.”
