Rescheduled, Clazzical Notes ‘Winter’s Soul in Song’ to Offer Up a Warm and Welcoming Evening of Songs and Dance

Jerri Price- Gaines, Founder/Executive Director and driving force behind Clazzical Notes, has assembled two well-known singers of Bel Canto who bring their vocal prowess to various styles of music.

Entitled “Winters Soul in Song! ,” the virtual program will be presented Thursday, January 27, 2022, 7:00 p.m. Admission is $10.00.  Register on Eventbrite.com.

The program features well-known bass-baritone Cedric Berry and world-acclaimed soprano Shana Blake Hill accompanied by pianist Cathy Miller. It will feature interpretive dance by modern dancer Ericalynn Priolo.

“This beautifully crafted program showcases stunning voices of great power, and wonderful sounds performing songs that will touch your soul and talent that will raise our spirits,” said Price-Gaines.

“These phenomenally gifted vocalists will perform songs from the American Songbook, songs from cherished recognizable genres that summon the feelings of the coziness and warmth of a winter’s day.”

Recently hailed as an “excellent Soprano” by Mark Swed of The LA Times and “…a revelation” by LA Weekly, soprano Shana Blake Hill is a Naxos and Sony recording artist. She has been a featured soloist with, among others, The Philadelphia Orchestra, The Los Angeles Philharmonic, The Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, The Seattle Symphony, The Pacific Symphony, The Naples Philharmonic, The Pasadena Symphony, The Louisville Orchestra, and The Colorado Symphony.

Pianist Catherine Miller is a member of the music staff at San Diego Opera and an in-demand collaborative pianist and coach. Her appearances in recital with renowned soprano Angel Blue have included iconic venues such as The Kennedy Center, Wigmore Hall and The Ravinia Festival.

Ericalynn Priolo, interpretive dancer, has been a company member with Lineage Dance for ten years and teaches dance at The Buckley School as well as Eliot Arts Magnet Academy.
