The quartet is composed of violinists Tereza Stanislav and Rafael Rishik, violist Robert Brophy and cellist Andrew Shulman.
Several performers hold chairs in Pasadena’s orchestras. Pasadena Symphony principal timpanist Wade Culbreath and Pasadena Pops principal trumpet David Washburn each lead ensembles new to the series, along with the Restoration Wind Quintet and the Cantilena Trio of flute, tenor and guitar. Pianist Robert Thies appears with violinist Roger Wilkie in October, Rodolfo Leone with a string trio in January, and cellist David Speltz and violist Connie Kupka with four family members in April as a string sextet.
The season runs through May 9, 2027. The committee is billing it as the series’ 30th anniversary; the series began in 1996, and the committee also billed its 2025-2026 season as a 30th anniversary season.
The all-volunteer committee has raised more than $1.5 million for the library since 1996. Net profits pay for restorations, enhancements and other benefits to the library and its Community Room.
The Restoration Concerts 2026-2027 season opens Sunday, Sept. 13, at 4 p.m. in the Library Community Room, 1115 El Centro St., South Pasadena, a room with 184 seats, according to the city. Season tickets are $160 for all eight concerts, a saving of $40 against door prices across the run, the committee says; individual tickets in the 2025-2026 season were $25 at the door and $26 online.
