Romanesque Room Returns With Bridal and Event Vendors ‘Evening Showcase’

The Romanesque Room, the original main dining room for the historic Hotel Green in Old Pasadena, presents “An Evening Showcase” from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, featuring your favorite bridal and event vendors.

The event is hosted by Romanesque Catering, formerly Castle Catering, providing fine social catering to the San Gabriel Valley for more than 30 years.

Castle Catering owner Ron Hobbs saw the closed kitchen and ballroom in 1984 and decided to renovate it as his own headquarters for the new catering company.

Over time, Hobbs was able to transform the old dining room – with the peeling paint, broken pillar capitals, painted over mirrors and marble baseboards, and the leftover stage set from the movie “New York, New York” – into what it is today, The Romanesque Room ballroom.

After 35 years, Hobbs turned over the torch to Chef Tony and Ann Lancaster of Hope Café and Catering, who established Romanesque Catering.

The Romanesque Room is at 50 E. Green St., Pasadena.
