The Rose Bowl Operating Company (RBOC) and three Pasadena music festivals will be contributing $250,000 to support communities affected by the devastating Eaton Fire.
The donation will go to the Pasadena Community Foundation’s Eaton Fire Relief and Recovery Fund, which has already amassed $7 million from foundations, corporations and more than 2,500 donors since the fire erupted Jan. 7.
The Rose Bowl, which has served as a command center for first responders over the last several weeks, partnered with the Cruel World, Just Like Heaven, and Head In The Clouds music festivals to provide the joint contribution.
“We knew right away that we wanted to support as many people as possible who lost loved ones, lost their homes or otherwise were impacted by the devastating fire,” said RBOC Chief Executive Officer Jens Weiden. “We are grateful to our partners at Goldenvoice and AEG Presents for their incredible generosity and continued commitment to our community.”
The Pasadena Community Foundation’s Board initially approved a $100,000 grant on Jan. 8 to launch the relief fund, which aims to address immediate needs in the significantly impacted Altadena and Pasadena areas.
Foundation officials said they are prioritizing support for individuals who have faced multiple hardships, including those who experienced home loss, evacuation, or unemployment due to the fire’s impact.
The recovery initiative focuses on providing essential services through nonprofit partners, including emergency food assistance, temporary shelter, childcare services, mental health support, and access to medical care for affected residents.
