As crews race against time, Tournament of Roses float decorating venues will be open to the public for one final day before the Rose Parade today, allowing visitors to witness the meticulous preparation of parade entries before their New Year’s Day debut.
The viewing experience, known as Decorating Places, spans two locations this year, with both the Rosemont Pavilion at 700 Seco Street and the newly added Brookside Pavilion at Lot I, South Side of Rose Bowl Stadium hosting visitors.
Thousands of volunteers and professional decorators are applying an array of natural materials, including fruits, seeds, bark, grasses and flowers, to create the elaborate parade floats.
The exhibition runs through Dec. 30, with Dec. 28 hours from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m..
Visitors must plan to arrive at least one hour before closing, with last entry times set at 4 p.m. for the first two days and 5 p.m. for Dec. 30.
Admission is set at $20 per person. Children aged five and under are admitted free.
