The format rarely varies. Rogelio Moreno, an award-winning Los Angeles dance instructor, leads salsa and bachata lessons for dancers of all levels. DJ Salsa y Sabor takes over later, spinning tracks as the social dancing begins. Two-for-one drinks flow throughout the night, and parking is free.
The Mixx operates at 443 East Colorado Boulevard under permits issued by the City of Pasadena. A 2017 City Manager newsletter outlined the venue’s application for an Expressive Use Permit covering “commercial entertainment land use (The Mixx bar/restaurant with live entertainment)” and a Conditional Use Permit for alcohol sales.
Event listings confirm Salsa Mixx as a recurring series. The Mixx’s website featured a September 23 date.
The February 10, 2026, edition follows the established pattern. Tuesday night, 8 p.m. to midnight, Moreno teaching, DJ Salsa y Sabor spinning, two-for-one drinks, free parking.
