The San Marino Motor Classic, Southern California’s premier automobile showcase, is happening on Sunday, Aug. 25,  according to a press statement on Monday.

The event, which is organized by a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, will be held at Lacy Park in San Marino, and will feature a wide array of classic cars, food trucks, vendors, artwork, and an exhibit by the Automotive Fine Arts Society.

“We invite everyone to bring the family and enjoy beautiful Lacy Park adorned with automotive works of art,” said Aaron Weiss, co-founder and chair of San Marino Motor Classic.

The event will showcase the evolution of automotive technology, from the Ford Model T to the Tesla Model S, and promises to be a great time for families, with food & drinks, artwork, and vendors — all for charity.

The concours d’elegance will feature 41 classic car classes, including new additions for super cars and European motorcycles. Attendees will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite car, which will receive a special award. Tickets for the event are priced at $45 in advance and $50 on the day of the event, with children under 12 admitted free of charge. VIP tickets, priced at $175, offer access to a shaded seating area, a buffet lunch, adult beverages, and the Awards Ceremony.

The Motor Classic weekend will begin on Aug. 24th with the Symphony of Cars Gala, a tour of an exotic car collection, and the Automotive Fine Arts Society exhibit. The Gala, a charitable event supporting the Cancer Support Community of San Gabriel Valley, will feature an open bar, gourmet dinner, live music, and a presentation of classic cars. Tickets for the Gala are priced at $300 and must be purchased in advance.

The 2024 Motor Classic is presented by RUSNAK Auto Group, with the VIP Reception hosted by Shriners Children’s Hospital. Various events are hosted by Hing Wa Lee Jewelers, Galpin Aston Martin, B Cellars Vineyards & Winery, with wine courtesy of Bill & Nancy Naeve, William Grant & Sons, Inc., and Bonhams.

The San Marino Motor Classic, an all-volunteer organization, has awarded over $3.7 million to local charities, including Pasadena Humane, San Marino Rotary Charities, Give-Mentor-Love Foundation, Rose Bowl Aquatics Center, and Cancer Support Community of San Gabriel Valley.
