A fabulous weekend was had by all who attended the 13th annual San Marino Motor Classic in Lacy Park on August 25, 2024. Thousands of spectators were thrilled to visit the prestigious Concours d’Elegance where many of the world’s finest classic cars were on display and were judged. Presented were automotive works of art in forty-one car classes. It was a wonderful opportunity to see automotive history and innovative technology. How often do we get to see an automobile valued at more than our home? A great time: classic cars, food & drinks, artwork, and vendors – raising over $400,000 for charity!
The 2024 Motor Classic weekend began with the Symphony of Cars Gala and the Automotive Fine Arts Society exhibit on Saturday, August 24th. The sold-out Gala that supports the Cancer Support Community of San Gabriel Valley was attended by over 600 guests who enjoyed an open bar, gourmet dinner, live music, and a presentation of twenty classic cars. Both art and automotive aficionados appreciated the opportunity to see works by well-known artists at AFAS exhibition and sale. Students from Art Center Transportation Design were on hand making sketches of futuristic cars.
