The Pasadena Senior Center is hosting the Los Angeles-based Foundation for Senior Services on Thursday for “Art, Dance and Music Therapy,” a virtual session about the benefits of creative arts therapies to all areas of healthcare, especially among seniors.

These therapies are present in treatments for most psychologic and physiologic illnesses and are a significant part of complementary medicine in the 21st century.

Starting at 10 a.m., “Art, Dance and Music Therapy” is being held in partnership with Harmonic Changes Therapy Services in Los Angeles.

Harmonic Changes Therapy Services, serving Los Angeles and Chicago, makes use of dance and movement therapy, music therapy and neurologic music therapy, among others, to promote the “emotional, social, cognitive and physical integration” of an individual.
