On Wednesday, February 8th, 2023 at 2:00 p.m., Pasadena Village is hosting “Creative Connections” – an event that allows older adults to share their artistic journeys and inspire others. Co-chair Karen Bagnard and the Cultural Activities Committee are pleased to welcome Village member Jim Hendrick, who will be sharing his creativity via Zoom and will have an exhibition of his work at the Village Office.
Hendrick has always been a “doodler,” drawing whatever comes to his mind on notepads, cocktail napkins, and advertising flyers. With retirement, he has been able to devote more time to his creative pursuits, which has allowed him to explore his creative self and uncover new parts of himself. “Every time I do anything creative I learn something new about myself and the world,” he says.
The exhibition will feature 16 paintings on canvas, 25 paintings on paper, and a sketchbook, all of which will be for sale with 40% of the proceeds going to Pasadena Village. If you’d like to check out more of Hendricks’s art, follow him on Instagram at @PhatmustardArt.
