What makes the Holidays so wondrous each year? Why, that would be sharing.

Whether you’re sharing what you have with those who may not, or you’ve perhaps lined up all your friends and loved ones for an ongoing 12-marathon Zoom meeting beginning Christmas Eve, it’s all sharing.

Remember last year when you packed up the kids and their friends tighter than a little red drum into the minivan, and went out to see the Holiday Look-In Tour? Did anything feel more like the holidays than that? Just ooh-ing and aah-ing at the extraordinary Christmas decorations put up by your friends and neighbors made everyone feel like hot chocolate and a marshmallow.

Those beautiful decorations are still up, should you chance to drive by, but there‘s no way you’re filling up the Road Warrior to gaze upon miles and   miles of decorated homes throughout Pasadena and San Gabriel Valley this year.

So, instead, just make a date. Gather up the friends and family (separately) around their collective electronic devices, put your earbuds on,  and tool around town virtually for the same visual and virtual feast with no one fogging up the car windows.

This year’s Pasadena Holiday Look-In home tour, the 53rd,  transports you into four elegant homes decorated to capture the holiday spirit for you and loved ones,  showcasing magnificent architecture, embellished with the talent of the region’s finest floral designers.

The online tour is narrated by David Lockington of the Pasadena Symphony, with music by members of the Pasadena Youth Symphony Orchestras

Viewers can also click and shop to their heart’s content in the tour’s Holiday Look In Boutique.

While The Big Day is only hours away, The Holiday Look-In tour is available through December 31. For the link to the tour, register at  www.PasadenaLookIn.org.

Registration is free, though donations will be gratefully accepted. The tour helps support the Pasadena Symphony & Pops and its music education programs throughout the San Gabriel Valley.

So, let’s review, shall we? Beautiful virtual home decorations, presented with beautiful music by some of Pasadena’s best musicians—socially distanced and as close as your computer or your device. And there’s shopping.

It could be the perfect Christmas Eve family experience.
