SHINE Gala Celebrates from Home with Delivered Treats

Published on Oct 16, 2020

Ronald McDonald House Pasadena is bringing the family together with SHINE Gala on Saturday, October 17, with special treats home-delivered in your SHINE at Home Kit.

Through this event, Ronald McDonald House will engage more than 300 philanthropists, corporate partners, and community leaders in a virtual movement highlighting the impact the organization has on families and the community.

The event will also honor Shriners for Children Medical Center for their invaluable partnership and remarkable medical care for children.

Pasadena Ronald McDonald House, which opened on February 14, 2004, is the 150th Ronald McDonald House in the United States. The House provides a temporary “home away from home” for up to 12 families at a time when their children are undergoing treatment for serious illnesses at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena or other nearby medical facilities.

It is one of six Houses of its kind operated by Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California.

Last year, the Ronald McDonald House of Pasadena raised over $390,000 during the SHINE Gala in November, which honored Los Angeles County Supervisor Kathryn Barger at the Langham Huntington Hotel. It was a record-breaking event in support of the organization’s mission of keeping families close during their time in need.
