Snacks, Safety Tips and Free Night of Spooky Fun for the Family at Pasadena Police Department’s Trunk or Treat Thursday

Published on Oct 26, 2022

On Thursday, Oct. 27 you and your children can attend a free Halloween event at the Pasadena Police Department which has something for the whole family.

“We will be offering snacks and treats for children and providing an alternative event for parents who may not want their children to trick-or-treat but still want to enjoy Halloween, or for those who want to show off their cool costumes!” Acting Lieutenant of Pasadena Police Department, Tim Bundy said.

In this free “Trunk or Treat” event, the police department will also offer safety tips for Halloween.

Bundy said the department is focusing on three important safety tips for Halloween:

  • Always have a trusted adult check the kids’ treats before they eat them,
  • Always have a travel buddy or go Trick-or-Treating in groups and,
  • Do not allow children to go inside anyone’s home for candy

“Make sure the kids can see properly and are comfortable in their costumes,” Bundy added. “Also, please drive safely and slowly through neighborhoods where children are trick-or treating.”

“Trunk or Treat” will be held between 5 and 8 p.m. Thursday at the Pasadena Police Department, at 207 N. Garfield Ave. on the block between Walnut and Ramona Streets.

At least two Police Department vehicles, including a SWAT vehicle, and a Pasadena Fire Department vehicle will be on display.

Different City departments will have information booths in the area, and a live DJ will play music throughout the evening.
