Southern California Children’s Museum (SCCM), 459 E. Colorado Blvd., Pasadena, and Stepping Stones to Learning tutoring centers are partnering to provide free professional tutoring and homework help to students currently enrolled in the Pasadena Unified School District, with 30-minute free tutoring sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting this Tuesday, Nov. 24.

Tutoring is open for any student in Grades 1 to 12. Due to poor air quality, all tutoring sessions will be online until further notice.

Students may bring up their school assignments or work on general subject areas such as math, science, reading, history, and English. They will be required to reserve 30-minute one-on-one tutoring slots between 3:30 and 5:30 p.m.

All Stepping Stones tutors have college degrees, have been through a background check and a two-step interview process, and are paid a living wage.

When on-site tutoring sessions are again permitted at SCCM, all students and tutors will be required to wear masks at all times. No food or drinks will be permitted. SCCM will provide masks and hand sanitizer for students who do not have them so no student will be turned away.

Availability is based on student and tutor availability. Limited spots are available, so reserve a spot today through email@steppingstones.net.
