Sycamores’ Celebrating Children Gala Delivers Full House and Big Hearts

Published on Mar 30, 2026

Sycamores hosted its annual Celebrating Children Gala on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at the historic Jonathan Club in downtown Los Angeles, bringing together about 240 community leaders, supporters, and advocates to raise essential funds for the organization’s behavioral health programs.

Guests enjoyed a chef-prepared three-course dinner, lively auctions, and a special musical performance by Broadway actor Davis Gaines, Los Angeles’ longest-running Phantom of the Opera, along with powerful stories of resilience from individuals and families helped by Sycamores’ services.

The evening’s centerpiece was the presentation of the Sycamores Celebrating Children Award, honoring leaders whose compassion, advocacy, and vision have made a lasting difference for those most in need. This year’s honorees were The Honorable Lindsey P. Horvath, Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, 3rd District, and Sonia A. Solin, Former Sycamores Board Chair, both recognized for their outstanding commitment to mental health, homelessness solutions, and support for vulnerable children and families.

Proceeds from the Gala will directly support Sycamores’ critically needed child welfare and behavioral health programs, which serve more than 37,000 low-income individuals each year, helping them heal, grow, and create a better life.
