The Armory Came Together Again to Celebrate Annual Benefit

Published on Apr 25, 2022

On Saturday, April 23, the Armory Center for the Arts and 255 of its closest supporters Celebrated Together Again for its annual benefit. It was an inside/outside affair, with festivities both inside the museum and outside in the beautiful alley behind the facility.

Guests enjoyed an open bar, signature cocktails, plus something new. For the first time ever, the Armory blocked off Electric Alley and transformed the entire 7,500 square foot back lot into a dazzling “under the stars” lounge and food truck pavilion, sporting LA’s best gourmet street food plus delectable offerings from Gale’s Restaurant.

Throughout the evening, guests enjoyed installations and live aerial performances by Paper Doll Militia. Recognized as pioneers in original aerial theatre, Paper Doll Militia’s innovative approach to choreography and poignant use of theatricality seamlessly weave together dynamic physicality, aerial arts, and visual theatre.

There was also an online auction offering some of the best seats, uncommon opportunities, and artful experiences. All proceeds from the benefit and auction go to support the Armory and its programs.

Nonprofit and community-based, Armory Center for the Arts is a leader for contemporary art exhibitions and community arts education. The Armory’s mission is to build upon the power of art to transform lives and communities through creating, teaching, and presenting the arts. For more information visit www.armoryarts.org.
