The Huntington Library, Art Museum and Botanical Gardens in San Marino will host its 11th annual “An Evening Among the Roses” on June 13, celebrating LGBTQ+ community members and their contributions to the institution.

The event, scheduled from 6 to 10 p.m., promises a vintage-themed garden party in the Rose Garden with music, specialty cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and dancing. Organizers are encouraging guests to don “glitzy party attire” for the glamorous evening.

The celebration will feature performances by actor Vincent Rodriguez III, known for his role in “My Crazy Ex-Girlfriend,” and the Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles. Rodriguez will perform during both the VIP reception and main party portions of the evening.

VIP ticket holders can arrive at 5 p.m. for an exclusive viewing of “Don Bachardy: Life in Portraits,” a retrospective exhibition featuring more than 100 works spanning 70 years by the prolific Los Angeles artist. The VIP reception follows from 6 to 7 p.m. on the south terrace of The Huntington Art Gallery.

The main garden party runs from 7 to 10 p.m., with entertainment continuing throughout the evening among what organizers describe as “a rainbow of blooms” in the Rose Garden.

Ticket prices range from $125 for general admission to $200 for VIP access. The institution also offers three sponsorship packages ranging from $1,500 to $5,000, with the highest tier including tickets for LGBTQ+ community partners or community members affected by recent wildfires.

The Huntington’s highest sponsorship level, the Huntington’s 100th Rose Sponsor package, provides five VIP tickets, a behind-the-scenes tour, membership benefits and recognition on event materials.

Tickets will not be sold at the door. Additional event information is available by contacting Marina Kohler at mkohler@huntington.org.

The Huntington Library, Art Museum and Botanical Gardens is located at 1151 Oxford Road in San Marino.
