Wiggle Waggle Walk participants can opt for a 1-mile or 5k walk or run around the Rose Bowl. Following the Walk, attendees and their dogs return to Brookside Park to enjoy a vendor expo with giveaways for pets and people. The event also boasts a doggy costume contest, the “Sit, Stay and Play” Training Park, demonstrations by the Pasadena Police Department K9 unit, numerous food trucks, and more. Attendees do not need a dog to join the fun—just a desire to help animals.
This year, the organization hopes to raise funds for their live-saving programs like the animal ICU, foster care, the pet food pantry, the Helping Paws pet owner assistance program, and much more. The need for these essential programs has expanded greatly since the Eaton Fire.
“The Wiggle Waggle Walk & Run is our opportunity to connect with the animal-loving community,” says Julie Nakahara, Director of Partnerships and Events. “Pasadena Humane is a family, and there’s a place in it for everyone. Whether you adopt, volunteer, attend an event, or simply show up to support, you’re part of something bigger—and that connection is what makes our community so special.
Animal lovers are encouraged to fundraise for the animals by registering as an individual or as part of a team on the Wiggle Waggle Walk & Run website and asking family, friends, and coworkers for donations. Participants can win paw-some prizes and compete to take home the title of Top Fundraiser, Top Donor, or Top Fundraising Team.
Registrants can choose to attend the in-person event or participate virtually. General and virtual registrations are $50 through noon on April 17. Onsite registration will be $65. All registered participants will receive a limited-edition Wiggle Waggle Walk & Run t-shirt, bib, dog bandana, and medal.
