The library will host its Sunday Crossword and Puzzling event on August 24, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., welcoming participants ages three and up with no registration required. The drop-in format allows families to tackle individual puzzles, collaborate on a community puzzle or work together on a shared crossword.
The concept has already proven popular—a previous Sunday Crossword and Puzzling event was held on July 27. The August 24 gathering is part of a summer series that included Outdoor Family Game and Play Night on August 15 and continues with Self Portrait Day on August 23.
Located at 3325 East Orange Grove Blvd in Pasadena, the 66-year-old library branch serves seven elementary schools, eight preschools and one high school in the immediate area. The facility, which opened on February 17, 1959, as the eighth and last Pasadena Public Library branch, offers 33 parking spaces and features a meeting room that seats 35 people.
“Sunday Crossword and Puzzling at the Library” will run on Sunday, Aug. 24 at 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Hastings Branch Library, 3325 East Orange Grove Blvd, Pasadena.
