The Pasadena show is one of 23 dates on Kahan’s Great Divide Tour, his first-ever stadium run, and demand has been fierce. Five additional dates were added to the tour after presales that began February 10 drew massive crowds — including a third night at Boston’s Fenway Park — according to a report in Yahoo Entertainment. Kahan has imposed face-value-only resale restrictions on tickets purchased through Ticketmaster, meaning they cannot be transferred and can only be resold at the original price on the platform.
“Nothing is perfect, but we’re doing what we can to help protect against scalpers and keep tickets in fans’ hands,” Kahan said in a statement about the policy, according to Digital Music News.
The show at 1001 Rose Bowl Drive begins at 6:30 p.m. Rising singer-songwriter Gigi Perez, whose single “Sailor Song” reached No. 22 on the Billboard Hot 100, will open. The Live Nation-produced tour launches June 11 in Orlando and wraps August 30 in Seattle, with stops at Wrigley Field in Chicago, Citi Field in New York and Fenway Park in Boston.
The tour supports Kahan’s fourth studio album, also called “The Great Divide,” due April 24 via Mercury Records. The album was produced by Gabe Simon, who also produced Kahan’s breakout 2022 record “Stick Season,” and Aaron Dessner, known for his work with Taylor Swift and Bon Iver, according to Variety.
“The music here is my best attempt to delve deeper into the people, places, and feelings that have made me who I am,” Kahan said in a statement announcing the album on his official website.
The Vermont-born, two-time Grammy-nominated artist has risen sharply since “Stick Season” — now four-times Platinum, according to a Live Nation press release — vaulted him from small-venue folk act to arena headliner. The album’s title track is eight-times Platinum. Kahan has sold more than 1.5 million concert tickets and played sold-out shows at Madison Square Garden and Fenway Park, according to Live Nation.
Tickets are available at Ticketmaster.com and at noahkahan.com/pages/tour. The Rose Bowl Stadium box office, located at the south end of the stadium near Gate A, opens approximately three hours before events.
Demand for presale tickets was strong enough to add five shows to the original 23-date itinerary. The Pasadena date has not added a second night — at least not yet.
